SOCIAL AND TOURIST POTENTIAL OF THE HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE OF THE TOVARISHCH-GORH FOCK BARGE
Abstract
From 1951 to 2003, the port of correspondence of the famous sailboat «Tovarishch -II» was the port of Kherson. The sailboat was not just a training vessel of the Kherson Navigation College. Schmidt, but also one of the city’s top landmarks. At the Tovarishch, thousands of Kherson practitioners, who now serve as captains and court officers around the world, attended the practice. In the article we have to decide how we can realize the potential of «Tovarishch» for the development of tourism in Kherson and Ukraine, for the development of international cooperation, for the development of culture. According to the research, the Tovarishch / Gorh Fock project has significant cultural, economic, tourist and political potential that can be used for the benefit of the Kherson territorial community. «Tovarishch» has a strong artistic potential and can serve as an occasion for organizing festivals, exhibitions, performances, cultural exchanges, art residences and more. Tovarysh maintains a strong social potential as a source of cohesion of the city’s territorial community, as an excuse for organizing mass commemorative events, as a branding object, etc. The memory of Tovarishch may be productive not only for the territorial community of Kherson, but for Ukraine as a whole.
